Hi,
i have recently installed a driver for my rt2570 usb wlan card. when the system boots, I get no ip address.

I have made a startup script which does the following:

pump -i rausb0

It is added with "update-rc.d script defaults 99"

but it gives me this error
RT25usb Driver version 2.0.8
enter usb_rtusb_close()
usb-uhci.c: ENXIO 80000300, flags 0, urg cd2c6f40, burb cd2454f0
operation failed

The driver is loaded correctly. It has worked on another pc with the same card
when I login to x starts I open a console and type the same command, then it gives no output and I get an ip address
This solves the problem but i need the pc to do everything automaticaly when it boots

is there a way to start a script when the window manager starts?

dsl 3.1
pentium III coppermine 666mhz
256 kb ram
