I've successfully booted my first DSL re-master CD, and want to go further. I've been playing with the "booth" remaster and it does exactly what I want, except I want to start rdesktop instead of Firefox. Problem is, though I know I need to start the booth cd with the boot option "single", I don't know what the default root password is. I've gone through the booth remastering documentation with a fine tooth comb, but not found it. Does anyone know?

Thanks: that's what I thought. So I boot from the booth CD, at the boot: prompt enter "dsl single", and it goes through hardware detection then comes up with "Give root password for maintenance". Entering return at that point gives me "Login incorrect". Clearly I'm missing something, and I expect it will be obvious once you tell me.

What you're missing is documentation specific to the Booth remaster, which has nothing at all to do with the DSL project.

What ^thehatsrule^ said is correct when applied to DSL. You are assuming that what applies to DSL also applies to a remaster of DSL, but that may be incorrect. Be sure to refer to the Booth documentation to see if a password was created for it.
