Correct there is a link but it gets stuck in an endless loop (mentioned in another thread somewhere).

In my case, our application is standalone (unmanned) and I need to force timezone info. I have found setting the TZ environment variable works fine.

All I need now do is figure out how to set hwclock (not via bios).

Cheers

Use date command to set time.
Use hwclock --systohc  to set the hardware clock.

I did raise another thread (under HowTo's) regarding this. When I execute hwclock --systohc I get a a error regardng read-only file system.

I am running from a CF which is essentially a copy of the livecd and has something to do with time adjust file under /etc but am not sure why this file comes into play for systohc.

Any ideas?
