I am the proud owner of a1993 IBM Thinkpad 360P. I wanted to boot DSL version 0.8.2 but I couldn´ t boot from my external freecom traveller 224E cdrom drive. I have tried it with a pcmcia card (no cardbus),but DSL couldn´t
scan my cdrom. Which is the right pcmcia driver for my cdrom.? I can´t figure out, what driver works.I can change to a parallel printerport with the same cdrom by changing the wires,  I also have a netgear pcmcia 10/100 fast ethernet card.
I appreciate any help.
Thank you very much in advance.

Boot into MSDOS.

Insert DSL CD disk.

Copy the \KNOPPIX folder over to your C:\ drive.

Download the DSL boot floppy image:

http://ibiblio.org/pub....8.0.img

Download rawrite32 and install it on a Windows 95/98/NT/2000/XP computer:

http://www.duskware.com/download/rawrite.exe

Insert a blank floppy disk and use rawrite32 to create a boot floppy.

Insert boot floppy into laptop.

Watch computer boot up with DSL.
