I have made some improvements in this area. They will be available in the next release. For now, you must run the kbdconfig outside of the window manger. Try the following: 1. exit the window manger, from the main menu Window Manager->Exit 2. at the prompt sudo kbdconfig I believe there are 4 dvorak keymaps. Note the name on the right hand side Select one. Test it text mode. 3. exit 4. exit 5. Test it in X windows. 6. If it works, then add the following line to your /opt/bootlocal.sh loadkeys name_of_keymap_from_right_hand_side_of_selector That will retain the setting. This has been automated in the next release.
