boy...i sure do like these 'run on cd' linux os'es.  dsl seems as though it will be the best for my needs but i do have a slight problem.

i type with the dvorak keyboard language (as opposed to qwerty), and i can't seem to get kbconfig to keep the setting.  when i open kbconfig it has dvorak highlighted but i'm still forced to type qwerty.

any suggestions?

I have made some improvements in this area. They will be available in the next release.
For now, you must run the kbdconfig outside of the window manger.
Try the following:
1. exit the window manger, from the main menu Window Manager->Exit
2. at the prompt sudo kbdconfig
I believe there are 4 dvorak keymaps. Note the name on the right hand side
Select one. Test it text mode.
3. exit
4. exit
5. Test it in X windows.
6. If it works, then add the following line to your /opt/bootlocal.sh
    loadkeys  name_of_keymap_from_right_hand_side_of_selector
That will retain the setting.
This has been automated in the next release.
