Quote (Chouette_bis @ April 19 2005,11:55) | I tried to go to a certain website. It told met that i needed javascript. So i go over to sun.com en tried too download java desktop enviroment for linux.
I apreciate any help |
The Java Desktop Environment from Sun is a set of tools that will allow you to develop (write, compile and run) your own JAVA programs. This is NOT what you need if you simply need your browser to interpret javascript in a web page.
Of the browsers in DSL, Dillo does not have javascript support (I think), nor does Links. Firefox does, so I suggest trying to view the website with Firefox. (Note that as of early April 2005 there are security issues with releases of Mozilla Firefox prior to v1.0.3)
