Hey, ppl.. here is a question simple and strait to the point. when i go to boot up on the newer DSL i can not use the ps/2 mouse. I have tried in windows, puppy, phlak, gentoo, slax, and knoppix.. in all of these operating systems they work.
I would like my mouse to work in DSL . Anyone have any ideas on how to get my mouse to work right? any help would be great. :;):

You probably have an old Microsoft PS/2 mouse (no wheel) like me.

This mouse does not work with the DSL Kdrive/TinyX/FreeDesktop.org X servers.

The only known solutions are:

Buy a newer mouse like a Logitec or MS wheelmouse

Install the XFree86.dsl myDSL extension and see if it works with your existing mouse.

Most other distros use XFree86 or XOrg, so if your mouse works OK for them, then it should also work for DSL + XFree86
