Guys,
I am just wondering the best way to implement rc.local equivalent concept in DSL.  The main reason is right after booting I would like to start certain services and applications.  I think that rc.local concept doesn't exist on debian based distros.  So what could be the best way or best location to implement these user defined start up services/applications.
Any help is highly appreciated.

Thanks,
