Really sorry - but it seems that its not enough to read the forums. Its the little/simple things that keep tripping me up.

So I thought, surely I am not alone. Perhaps a a thread allowing us to ask the silly questions is in order?

Well here goes....

Where do I find filetool.lst ?

It doesn't seem to be in /ramdisk/home/dsl

I am using CDRom to boot and loading DSL from USB -

and I want to reload my installed programs and related directories.

OK - found  it - discovered that the 'H' adjacent near to the top in emelfm (file browser) actually toggles hidden files. And - of course filetool.lst is in there - hidden.

However of particular note is the fact that there seems to be no distinction in postings (and documentation, it seems) between '.filetool.lst' and 'filetool.lst'.

That's because it was only recently changed to being a hidden file, and the documentation has not been updated.

Our documentation is going through radical changes atm, so expect good things soon.

Thank you - that's useful to know.

I have an image I created using 'make my dsl' - and it works really well on a PC which uses PS2 mouse - but not with USB mouse. Obviously this is very limiting.

How do I find my USB mouse?
