First off, I apologize if this is in the wrong forum.

I am trying to run DamnSmallLinux on my home computer. My dad found it on a treelawn, so I'm not sure the brand or model. I know it has an Intel 810 chipset, and when I boot the CD, it says something along the lines of "you have specified an invalid video mode". Any thoughts?

Do this. At the boot prompt, type:

dsl vga=normal xsetup

When prompted, choose XVesa and choose 640x480x16bitcolor

You may be able to use other resolutions, but this one should definately work.

For better i810 support, install the XFree86 myDSL extension.
