I just downloaded DSL today. Tried to get it working on my old Compaq Presario 1230.

I have a microsoft mouse with 1 scrollwheel, it is a PS/2 mouse, I've tried IMPS/2 and PS2 and nothing works

I am using Xfbdev, I've also tried 2button and 3button, but nothing works! :(

The mouse moves a little bit, and then freezes. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Hi
Mouse problems on Compaq laptops are not new.  I have had intermittant luck with them.  Sometimes the IRQ's get messed up, sometimes it is hardware issues.  If you can get into the "BIOS" (not always easy on these things) try resetting everthing to the factory defaults.  Maybe  see if there are any interrupts that are used by multiple devices.  On one system I had to get an old serial mouse to make it work.
Good luck

I've checked my IRQ in /proc/interrupts

The mouse doesn't even show up in the list...  ???

How do I map a serial or PS/2 mouse to IRQ channels?
