What did you name your printer? How/What are you using to attempt to print?
You can search the forum for export command so the apps will know your printer name.

I did not named the printer at all ( or don't think i did ... maybe s450 )

I tried a small test with Ted, but nothing happened when i hit the print button ( i believed everything was ok when the test page worked )

Some clues ??

Did you select I from aps menu to Install the printer after the test page printed? It is there that you can give the printer a name. You are prompted "Your choice"
with the default of lp

If you did select I, but now have forgotten the printer name then from a shell window type

cat /opt/printcap

If you have nothing there, you exited Apsfilter program too soon.

To test print, first be sure to start the printing daemon using DSLpanel , then  from the shell type this

lpr -h -Plp filetool.lst

This will print your filetool.lst on the printer lp with no header page

type

lpr --help

will show all the commands

type

export PRINTER=lp

This will allow apps to find your printer without you having to specify each time with the lpr command
