Hi! Ran into problems with the PSC1200 myself.
For configuring the printer in a network on a computer that hasn't got the printer attatched to it, and running win98, you should just browse to your network neigbourhood and find the printer on wich the computer the printer is attatched. Double click it from there, and windows should copy the right files from the networklocation's C:\Windows\System32\Spool [Adding a networkprinter manually doesn't work! Even when windows locates the printer correctly!]
So Next Problem. The server is running 98se and has the PSC1200 correctly installed. Now 1 workstation is running XP. Doing the same trick, browsing to the server, and doubleclicking the printer from there doesn't work, because xp refuses to install the (98)drivers installed there. The solution was to connect the psc1200 to the xp machine, install it there also, (just for the right drivers), and disconnect and re-connect it to the server. Now, when you install the psc1200 as a networkprinter in xp, it recorgnizes the right drivers from it's own C:\Windows\System32\Spool dir.
Hopes this helps anyone...
