IMHO Netrik is a poor man's browser, it basically uses wget. Actually it is a pager, like w3m, not really a browser. I like the idea od poor man's hacks. It also support rudimentary css and js. Too bad it does not support ssl.
About links, you can install it in few seconds, just type links at the command line.
The problem, for me, a browser is useless without ssl support
