I've tried following various references to mythtv in the forum.  The best of which is:
http://damnsmalllinux.org/cgi-bin....8;st=20

However, I can't get it loaded via apt-get.

Here's what I get:
mythtv-frontend: Depends: mythtv-common (= 0.19-0.7) but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libasound2 (> 1.0.11) but 0.9.0beta10a-3 is to be installed
Depends: libavc1394-0 (>= 0.5.3) but 0.3.1-2 is to be installed
Depends: libglib2.0-0 (>= 2.10.0) but 2.0.1-2 is to be installed
Depends: libjack0.100.0-0 (>= 0.101.1) but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libmyth-0.19 but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libqt3-mt (>= 3:3.3.6) but 2:3.0.3-20020329-1woody2 is to be installed

(FWIW, I can't get xine-lib to compile, in case anyone has any experience with that.)

Thanks.

Well, I actually threw in the towel on apt-get and started using the KnoppMyth distro for this.  Thankfully, its very much like DSL (since they're both based on Knoppix), so small distro-specific learning curve.

Not quite done yet but getting there.

I did have some better results by starting from a fresh boot on my LiveCD system, commenting out all non-essential lines in sources.list, but I never quite got all the way to having a working MythTV system via apt-get.
