Using firefox-1.5.0.4.uci and jre_1_5_0.uci (live CD, uci's on a USB stick, 256MB RAM), I get the following message each time I try to access an applet on the web:

I have firefox setup to connection to localhost:4000 as a socks4 proxy, but regardless of the settings (direct connection or socks4), I still get the above error and the applets don't work.

I've tried restarting Firefox, putting the link to the plugin in the .mozilla/plugins directory, running from CD instead of toram, deleting the .java directory, turning off all the proxy settings (purely direct connect), and changing the connection type on the Java Control Panel to direct connect.

Arrrgh!  Any ideas why this won't work for me??

Thanks, Scott
