Well I have downloaded the file from this location: ftp://ftp.informatik.rwth-aachen.de/pub.....4

I put this file on the laptop und unpacked it but when I want to install it I get that message:

dpkg: /var/lib/dpkg/status: No such file or directory

What can I do? I have no connection to the Internet with that Laptop an de CD Drive doesn't work fine. Only the USB is working fine ...

Please use the dpkg-restore option from the system menu.
Apps->Tools->Enable Apt

Using that option will allow deb pakages to be installed.

The dpkg is the base, is a busybox applet and requires the full deb filesystem to work properly, hence broken. It has since been removed in 3.1 RC2
