hello again,

i'm about to install squid on my DSL-machine, but it will require some aditional programs i never heard of before.

- Perl
- awk.awk

so are they already onboard or do i need to get them seperatly ?

thz in advance

There is a slim version of Perl in DSL. It doesn't include all modules that are generally found in a typical distribution, but it might be sufficient.
Awk in DSL is built into Busybox. I think it should work for most needs, but if not you could try gnu-utils.

If "install" means "build from source", these tools will not be adequate.

thz mikshaw for the reply.

i already biuld squid from source by adding Gcc and G++, but as far as i can tell squid needs the Perl and awk for running. so i just hope the parts that are available are enough, if not i can prolly get them with apt-get i guess.

not realy sure, but i'll find out along the way.

thaz again
