Hey all. Got DSL 4.2.5 installed on an old HP Pavillion. What I want to do with it is configure the power button to properly shut down the pc upon pressing it rather than having it go into sleep mode.

I've been having a heck of a time trying to get ACPI to work. First of all, it doesn't seem to run. I also had to create a /proc/acpi/event file to make it happy while trying to get acpi running. While it seems to be happy now, it's still not running.

Is there something I'm missing here?
