I know it's a long shot, but does anyone know if it's possible to run Flash4 natively in Linux, without using WINE? Or maybe with some specialised WINE-type setup?
Has anyone actually got WINE to work on DSL without needing to install different x-window servers? Or can give a brief overview of what's needed to get WINE up and going (eg how to install and set up a new X server, settings, ...)
Basically, developing in Flash is the only reason I still have WinME on my laptop, I can do everything else I need my laptop to do using DSL (oh, except mp3s, still can't get generated sound to work - line-ins, CD read, and mic all work, but nothing working from the CPU...)
