Hi

I just tried the Opera browser extension on the new version of DSL.  The blank box problem has returned.  The work-around does still work.  Add the following line to the file /etc/opera6rc before you run Opera for the first time.

Enable Xft Fonts=0

Good luck

I found the latest Opera 7.54 extension worked great, in V0.93 HD installed, in both browsing and e-mail modes - loved it.  Until I realised I couldn't get rid of a problem (bug?) which wouldn't let me save (MS .doc or .rtf) e-mail attachments to disc without corrupting them to nothing.  I tried mucking about with security settings and file formats in 'preferences' but no good. Anyone run up against this and got round it?
(edit)
I've since discovered this problem also applies to my DSL base Sylpheed client so issue does not lie with Opera .dsl. Which is good news because I will go back to it when I have got to the bottom of this.  (Apologies to Opera .dsl guy for casting doubt!)
Broken Abiword .dsl in two separate HD installations was the culprit.  Reloaded everything - there is no problem with Opera saving files.
