DAMN IT'S GOOD! :O
earth.google.com
Unfortunately it's only on windoze at the moment...
I can see my house from here! (Literally!!)
Just that little bit more magnification and I could probably pick out which car was mine...

Neither had I, but thanks to UserFriendly for keeping a finger on the pulse of the net, and providing a few laughs (and near-laughs, and chuckles, and nnyeaahs, and WTFs...)

One annoying thing about Google Earth that I found is that you can't use it offline, even though the pics are saving to your local (permanent) cache.  Maybe someone could find a way to release this bond...

Anybody know of any hire shops that do like 30ft inflatable penguins?
Suppose you could do some ambitious sidewalk art with like a BIG piece of tarmac & a BIG box of chalks!

Well, I do have a 3ft inflatable penguin...
But the photos aren't updated realtime or anything anyway, they're up to 3yrs old, just depends on when they bothered to do a pass I guess.  So any stunt would go unrecorded...

A strange thing that I noticed is that whilst most of Sydney is in the fairly high resolution, the main part that people would want to check out, the harbour with the bridge, opera house, Circular Quay etc., is low res... you'd think they'd concentrate on the main parts first (whereas most of Brisbane and even most of Coffs Harbour are the highish-res...)
