i would like to know this also, put it in the .xinitrc i presume, but then you get the menu every time you boot, hope someone else can be of more help.

Hi to all friends.

For the kde, this is very easy.

You have to create a file called xscreensaver.desktop in your home at
./.kde/Autostart/
The file will contain (at least mine is this way and it works) :

[Desktop Entry]
   Exec=xscreensaver
   Name=XScreensaver
   Type=Application
   X-KDE-StartupNotify=false

That's all. Next time you restart your kde, you'll start also the xscreensaver.
