I have a questio.I'm a total Linux newbie and I have a problem with those DSL extensions.I have DSL on boot CD and now I'm downloading exts. to burn them too but will DSL read the files from second CD-ROM or should I make new boot CD with *.dsl files included?

if you put them on another cd you must install them manually.

You can only burn them to the DSL CD if it isn't finalized yet.

This is a very good question.  You have a few options to choose from, and it's really your choice.

If you have two cdrom drives, DSL can read your *.dsl files from the second drive using the emelfm program (mount the cdrom1 drive, navigate to the file and click the mydsl button).  If you leave the files on your hard drive, again you can navigate to them with emelfm and load them by selecting the files and pressing the mydsl button.

You can burn the cd as a multisession (multiple tracks) and put your dsl files in an /optional directory.  This will give you the option to load the dsl files at any time.  If you place the *.dsl files in the root directory, they will always load automatically.

You can continue to write on a CD that is read only, you just can't overwrite.  This is called a multisession CD, where there are multiple tracks.  So the dsl.iso misght be track 1, and the /optional directory might be track 2.  The CD must be set up as multisession from the start.
