Has anyone had any success installing a debian package of acrobat reader?

If its just an alternative to xpdf you're after,  `gv' is a fairly reasonable option; easy install (and in
the repository) if you've not already given it a try......cheers.

Actually, I am looking for an alternative because xpdf seems to be unable to view large, scanned pdfs, like those downloadable from JSTOR.  I guess a better question would have been, does anyone know how to view large JSTOR pdfs?

Thanks for the reply,

Bill

(and thanks for the latex extension!)...

OK, sorrt for this thread, I am still learning...I changed the sources.list and got both R and acrobat installed on my old laptop.  I am in complete awe of this distribution...
