Hello, I'm very interrested in your project and I would like to test it. I'm a ubuntu user and a linux user for 2 years, and I would like to use this DSL to show people how does linux look like to others.

However, I'm a bit lost, I can't find the How to, the main website link directly here. I'm sorry, but the explanations on "how to use it" are a bit absent.
So, I would like to use DSL to boot from my usb pen. I've found

but what should I do with that .iso file? can I print it on a usb pen with k3B? Should I simply copy it?
There are some other files (I know what a md5sum is), what are boot-floppy and bootfloppy for?
My laptop may doesn't propose to boot on usb device. What should I do then?

I think the recommended method is to download and burn the regular ISO to a cd and then boot from that. Then you have easy access to such scripts as "Install to USB" and "Make USB Boot Floppy." That should take care of you if all you want to do is boot from USB.

If you want to do the 5-way install (be able to run from inside Windows, for example) you'll need to download the current dsl-embedded.zip, empty it into your USB drive, then download and follow the directions withing 5-way.tgz.

50MB on a 700MB CD? What is the reason of that damned small size then?

Ok, I've tried to use that second method, but I can't run any of the scripts to create that pen. Even when I launch any of the script ./syslinux, it can find the other scripts in the same folder. Does it means I have to burn that CD, run DSL one time, to create the usb pen? Or is there a solution to do it from ubuntu?

I extracted the .zip on my computer and clicked on dsl-linux, it launched the program. I assume it is the same on windows. It works very well. Next time, I will try it before my graphical server is launched. I thin it will increase response time.

However, I can't run it when I copy it on my usb pen (permission problems, I can't set the execute permission to anybody). I don't think it is bootable either. I have to find a way to run the script that are in the .tgz. Maybe from the DSL I have launched from ubuntu.

One more question: How can I do to make it support my azerty keyboard?
I've seen it's onr of the improvement in the new DSL released so maybe is it not possible

In DSL Panel? oh, ok great. Oh, no, it's still a qwerty keyboard.
How can I do?

Will it store my profile when I log out? I don't understand why do I have to choose a device when I want to backup mt profile. Where are those hd, hda hab stored on my computer when I backup?
And where are the files I download stored on my comuter?
