the reason is exactly as the last guy stated, swap reads and writes to the swap locations as that is its natures, sort of like a RAM, right? With a limited number of reads and writes in the flash that are used in these USB storage drives, you can burn all of t he reads and writes within a very very small amount of time, so it is best to not use ANY swap at all on a USB pen drive that is comprised of flash memory IC's. I think that shoudl cap it, no?
