So as a casual Linux user it took me awhile to get my San Disk Cruzer set up with the right format but when I did the set up to pen drive script ran and did it's thing. I ran it from inside a shell window to see that it completed normally. When I boot from the usb drive it loads the beginning information the usb managers, etc. and then stalls "looking for DSL image on /dev/sda   when it was installed to /dev/sda1 and in every viewable config file I can find it says sda1. Fianlly it time out and goes looking and comes up with a message Accesssing DSL linux @ /dev/sda1 ....cat: no file /knoppix/etc/ld.so cache and then lots of other errors and dies for real. It sounds like something simple but all the files seem to be compressed so how do you find out what is mis-configured?

I'm having the same issue with one of my Pen Drives,  is this how it reacts if the pen drive doesn't work right (list of compatible pen drives)?

The Cruzer is compatible, but mine exhibits this problems as well.  First, only plug the drive directly into the ports on the motherboard, not the case plugs or extension cables.  Second, when you see that error message, try hitting the reset button on your machine.  It may take a few resets, but it should start working.
