Hi, using DSL Live CD on a Toshiba 2595CDT laptop....it is running fine, although I have not gotten the winmodem running yet. I bought a Scandisk 256MB pen-drive, stuck it in the hole, booted up and whammo, there it is. Move files back and forth like a bastid. Now, the usb install using the HOWTO goes great, until it tries to connect to the net...:(...
Is there anyway to complete this scrip with net access? Must I get this assinine winmodem running first? Help!!!

Yes,

Download all of the scripts from the dsl current download page and then save them somewhere.

Then boot into dsl and untar/ungzip them and run them.

Or you can just run the USB install from someone else's computer (that has net access).  You don't need to run the install on the target PC.  Any PC should work fine.
