I run DSL both via the embedded version and via QEMU I got from the QEMU site and your ISO.  The nice thing about running the Embedded version is it runs great from a flash drive, off a CD-ROM or even off my PCs hard drive.  Its not picky about which drive I run it from.  Using the CVS QEMU software and your ISO is picky about what drive I run on, I can't run it from a CD-ROM and I often have to reinstall the ISO file because the last time I ran it, it was on drive E: and now its on F: or vice-versa.  Running the ISO allows me to get at the cheat-codes and that allows me to set the screen resolution I want.  The embedded version is always 800x600 which sometimes is too small.  Otherwise very nice work!!!

Regarding the CVS QEMU version, did you compile it yourself or is a binary version of the CVS available? If so, can you post a link to it?

Thanks,

FYI I am also "Missouri Bushwacker".  Every time I would login and then go to this forum I would revert to Guest status and be denied the ability to post.

For the CVS version of QEMU, a binary to run in the Windows environment look at http://www.oszoo.org/ftp/qemu/win32/daily/

This is where I got mine.  Hope this helps.

You need to take that up with the QEMU folks.  My impression is that the Windows version of QEMU is "on the shelf" right now, most of the action is taking place with the Linux version and on every platform EXCEPT Win32.  It would seem natural that the Linux folks would be working in their favorite environment (Linux) and not Windows!
