I'm new to this whole linux thing and supposedly this damn small linux is pretty good. So I tried to run it under windows with embedded. I read the readme, and it said run dsl-windows.bat......but where the heck is it? And the same goes for making a boot cd.....I d/ld dsl-2.4.iso or whatever, but there's no ISO image in it. Very confusing stuff to a linux noob like myself.

Did you unzip the DSL-xxx-embedded.zip file? Once unzipped there are about 10-12 files in the top unzipped diectory. One of the them is dsl-windows.bat. There will also be two subdirectories, KNOPPIX & Qemu. You can unzip the file to a USB drive or just to a directory on your Windows hard drive. Double-click on the dsl-windows.bat file and the boot process will start.

As for the dsl-2.4.iso, the file is the .iso image. Just write image to CD and it will boot.

Hope this helps,
