Hi!  I've just installed DSL Embedded (on a Windows 2000) and I think it's a great distro however, I've a problem with connecting to my corporate network.

It automatically gets an IP address via dhcp (ip=10.0.2.15, bcast=10.0.2.255, netmask=255.255.255.0) but this IP doesn't tally with the one of my machine 10.100.21.124.

I've tried using the route command to add a new default gateway (maybe the one of my machine) but it seems just impossible.  The default gateway of the DSL (from route -n) 10.0.2.2. The funny thing is that I can ping my machine as:

ping 10.100.21.124 is very successful

I need to be able to connect to other machines in my corporate network.  Is there anyway I can map the IPs or something.  I don't know much about networking.

I've not tried booting from my USB directly but I don't think I will have the same problems.

DSL Embedded is running from inside a virtual PC, or a "fake computer", simulated by a program called QEMU.

From the Windows 2000 perspective, QEMU is a normal program that makes network requests, like IE or Firefox or ftp or whatever.

However, from the inside-qemu perspective, the virtual pc is connected to a firewalled virtual LAN and DHCP server.

Visit the QEMU website and mailing lists for more information.
