When UCI extensions are double clicked in emelfm or the MyDSL button used they fail to load & an error appears in the text box at the bottom of the file manager. The error is:

/dev/cloop1 No such device or address

This only happens for the embedded version of DSL (currently using 1.3), everything works OK with a livecd version.

Originally I was loading the extensions off the host hard drive, having first fired up SAMBA. I though there may have been a problem with the spaces in the 'winblows' path names, but even when the uci extensions are burned to a cd image file & loaded with qemu at boot time, or copied over to e.g. /opt they fail to load.

Any suggestions?

Andrew.

After digging further (i.e. checking that iso images mounted as loop filesystems using DSL embedded) it appears that the cloop module isn't loaded by default for DSL embedded.

Issuing the command 'SUDO insmod cloop' (either in the emelfm command box, or in xterm) solved all the problems.

John, Robert,

Version 1.5 has the same fault. To mount .UCI extensions 'modprobe cloop' has to be executed first.

I have only checked this on the embedded (zip file) version.

A suggestion for the Getting Started page in Dillo - add a list of the files that have changed/moved from the previous version that may require manually copying due to being overwritten by the backup/restore system.

Otherwise great release (as always) - running a 166MHz Libretto with 64Mb ram - can have Dillo, Firefox, Sylpheed, emelfm & XMMS all running VERY smoothly at the same time. Keep up the great work & keep it small!
