There was a story a while back on Slashdot about taking your live CD distro into the store, and trying it out on machines you might want to buy. Of course the sales clerks, managers at these establishments would have to go along with your idea. How many of you have, or would like to, take your DSL CD into the store, and "see how it boots and runs" on the various computers? Wouldn't it be great to put up a nice DSL desktop of a few machines, and then leave them that way? I know I could do that, ie, put Firefox up on the screen, and not have any of my personal settings left behind. --- I'm not advocating that we become activists, we are simply going in the store "looking to buy" in the eyes of Store Management. That means showing up in decent clothing, etc. looking like one could spend some $$ there. ---
