I don't know how large Monkey is, but please consider using Micro httpd (http://www.acme.com/software/micro_httpd/) as a replacement. It is only run from inetd, but unless someone is very ambitious with DSL should be adequate for a LAN.

Then again, micro_httpd's so small anyway (about 7k when I compiled with -Os -fomit-frame-pointer) that it could be included and you could impress your friends by saying DSL has *two* webservers :)
