Hi,

Is there a volume control/mixer in DSL anywhere? (like aumix in Redhat) or is it just the control in XMMS?

...
Try apt-get install asmix or downloading volume.app for a dockable volume mixer, I don't think there's one included

The XMMS control might be able to do it.  On my standard computer, I know that changing the volume of XMMS causes a volume change in some other programs, like RealPlayer and ZSNES.  I'm not sure if that works on every program, though.

Well, I was looking to control more than just the major sound volume, eg to mute the mic socket etc...

So I'll give the apt-get thing a try, proably get aumix

Cheers
