I'm looking for a Linux-dist that can boot my old machines from cd, display a question about IP adress and then trigger TsClient login to a M$-Server.

Is this possible with dsLinux? Or is it easy to modify to do exactly this? The problem as I (as a n00b) see it, is that I don't have any storage for config files (no harddisks), the CD must hold the bashscript (for tapping in IP adress) and the Ts-Client trigger. But this, I could live without of course.

Regards

You might be able to get there with

rdesktop

from the command line.

You would need to put your install script somewhere like a floppy or a pen drive. Another option is a do-it-yourself remaster of the DSL cd.

Good Luck.

I think this project may do what you need :-

Pilot linux may also be worth checking out too :-
