I think Hamachi would be a very good app to add to DSL, it would add alot of value considering how flexible it would make networking.
hamachi.cc
And it would make it easy for me on my school's systems to bypass proxy ^_^

Also, it would be nice if you would have a submenu under right-click specifically for automatic program downloads/installations, as this makes it alot quicker and easier for everyone who is just starting out, and it streamlines hd-installs.
Example, the flash plugin download, only more expansive and with a massive choice of applications.

App suggestions for menu:
Azureus,Opera,Videolan,Gaim, and a few more I can't think of off the top of my head...

Lastly, when trying to download files to the desktop through firefox, they dont show up there...Yes, I am a linux noob, a bit affraid of using shells...But if anything could be done about that, it would be greatly appreciated.

Keep up the good work so far.

There isn't a "desktop" in Fluxbox in the same sense as the desktop in kde, gnome, or windows. They each have a directory which contains files to be displayed on the desktop....this directory is constantly being searched to keep the display updated.  The Icons in DSL are displayed by an entirely separate application, which handles manually-created icons only. It will not automatically detect and display different files with different icons and different actions like some other setups do...if you want that sort of behavior you'll need to build a fairly complex script to create an icon file in .xtdesktop for each file added (or add the icon files yourself).  I kinda doubt this will become part of DSL unless the dev team gets terribly bored one day.
The default "desktop" download in Firefox is there because that's the way firefox was created...nothing to do with DSL.

The right-click thing....i don't really have much of an opinion, other than the fact that it would be difficult to keep it in sync with the mydsl repository.

Indeed, hamachi looks slick.

However, the EULA states,
"This License allows the End-User to install and use the Client.  Except as expressly permitted in this License, the End-User may not . . . distribute . . . the Client in whole or part or transmit the Client over a network."

which, I believe precludes it from being shipped in a distro, such as DSL.

Shells don't bite ;) But why should you ever need to touch one in DSL?
