i can't believe i struggled with this for so long, maybe it is simple for some of you.....well anyway i finally understand how to have the myDSL applications loaded at bootup with my traditional HD install. i simply call them up in bootlocal.sh file. i just added this line "mydsl-load /mnt/hda4/uci/doom.dsl" in the bootlocal.sh file and the app came right up like it was supposed to. this works for .uci apps as well.
