I've got my DSL-based system running fine when booting up from the USB drive but I'd like to do a frugal install to my CF card that's on an IDE adapter.  Right now if I run cfdisk it doesn't detect the CF card.  This is probably easy but I'm not sure what to do.

Does the CF card need to be formatted before I plug it into the IDE adapter?  I had assumed I could have it in place and partition/format it but maybe not.  As far as I can tell DSL doesn't detect that the card is there.  The frugal install script assumes that the disk is already partitioned and cfdisk doesn't detect it.

Any suggestions, ideas on what I should do to get the CF card to work?

Thanks,
Ryan
