Hi folks

Okay this has been a bit of a challenge!

First I had to get rid of the Xandros install (Dual booting with Windows). You would think that would be easy..Nope! Formatted the partition and installed DSL in via the script. Go to boot and the Xandros Lilo script comes up.

After a lot of futzing about I got that gone and it will boot straight into Windows.

Reinstalled DSL....still no good, apparently what DSL thinks is MBR and what Windows and Xandros think is (rightly unfortunately) isnt the same. Tried Lilo etc no good.

SO What I want is to get DSL setup as primary OS (HD install) with Windows as secondary (need a few things there yet)

This box is my server and has three drives. 1 Sata (which is where I want to put the OS'es and yes I did boot with the Sata option..aftered I figured it out) and two IDE.

As far as I can tell I have DSL installed in the right place. The question is how do i install Grub right?

Please be as simple as you can. I'm not an utter newbie but not too far from it. (btw on the Sata Drive DSL is on sda5 and windows on sda1 (3 is swap and 4 is data)

Thanks in advance
mike
