I know this may sound silly, but how do you create a DSL/WinXP dual boot? I'm worried that the command line nature of the installation may destroy the WinXP partition.

If you have free disk space you can do it.  Lots of info on the forum, use the search option.  You should consider a frugal install using the grub bootloader.  Grub is easily edited, then allowing you access to the already existing XP system.  Good luck.  I have a dual boot system and rarely use XP at all anymore.
