Hi folks,
I tried installing DSL 2.2b on pendrive as HD using;
Apps --> Tools --> install to Hard Drive
without success.
on proceed to install boot loader following warning popCode Sample | /dev/root on /type ext 2 (rw) /dev/scd1 on /cdrom type iso 9660 (ro) /dev/cloop on /KNOPPIX type iso 9660 (ro) /ramkdisk on /ramdisk type tmpfs (rw, size=199164k, size=196923k) /proc/bus/usb on /proc/bus/ub type usbdevfs (rw, devmode=0666) /dev/sda1 on /mnt/hd type ext 2 (rw) 1423+0 record in 1423+0 record out modinfo : ieee1397: no module by that name found cp : missing destination file Try `cp --help' for more information |
Use[G]rub or [L]ilo boot loader ? (g/l) : gCode Sample | Setting up grub /dev/sda does not have any corresponding BIOS drive. |
There were 2 partitions on the pendrive, partition-1 to run the OS and partition-2 for storage, both on ext2 fs.
My questions are; 1. Can a pendrive be a HD for installing DSL? 2. If YES, then how to fix the above problems? 3. On booting the pendrive which option on the BIOS to be up -USB-ZIP ? -USB-HDD ? OR -SCSI (an USB 2.0 PCI card has been installed. Can it be recognised as SCSI?)
Please advise. TIA
