I've installed DSL to hda6 with no problems at all thanks in large part to these forums. I've a triple boot with Win XP on hda1, DSL 2.3 on hda6 and Kanotix 2005-04 on hdb1. This is a newer box with 1.2G AMD and 1G DDR ram. So power and speed is no problem. The problem I have is trying to figure out how to edit my /boot/grub/menu.lst file. What program to use? Any that I open comes up as read-only. Perhaps some of you can give me a hint?

As su try typing "beaver menu.lst" . That should work

Note: Root Permission is required to save changes in menu.lst file
Not problem, follow this procedure:

Launch Beaver with root permission so: Open Xterminal and write this two commands:

sudo su

beaver
