Okay, my problems are kind of serious.

The Install went completely successful, but STILL I have really bad graphics resolution. Two colors, blue-green and white. This makes it very hard to read anything or do anything. I can't see text very well, I did the HD install through the Terminal like the website set but I was squinting the whole time and I'm still squinting. I've increased my Firefox font considerably, how do I increase the system font? I need to be able to see the terminal properly to figure out what I need to fix or repair! Maybe something is missing with my install. How do you repair DSLfrom within DSL?

I'll try to take a screenshot to show you what I mean, but for all I know it will look like a normal desktop to you. XD This is a very weird proble,.

Oh heck I fixed it! I switched freaking desktop managers and restarted and that fixed it. OMG!

Now I only need it to detect my ps/2 mouse adapter and live will be sweet!

(using up my only USB port for my mouse. And my touchpad doesn't work so I guess I won't be using my USB backup anytime soon. XD)

It might also have been me trying the screen resolution thing and rebooting that fixed it, but I really think its just an error in the desktop manager. How do I reinstall fluxbox? Fluxbox actually detected my mouse properly, and its nicer. ^_^;

Unless, heaven of heavens, I can install KDE. XD No such luck for me, heh. jvcm, or whatever its called, isn't bad though

The window managers afaik, has nothing to do with setting the video/screen, nor the mouse. Perhaps its just the default colors/styles/themes that seem to work nicely on your system setup - but its more likely you were trying different X settings that fixed it.

I thought ps/2 <-> usb mouse adapters do not require anything on the software side - mine worked fine. Make sure you specify a ps/2 mouse though, as I think USB pointer devices have priority (hence your touchpad). Don't think you can use both at the same time though, unless you want to try one of the XFree86 extensions.

If you want KDE, DSL is not for you.

I encounter the same problem with my USB keyboard and usb mouse, they work nice in liveCD, and failed to co-operate after HD installation.
and suggestion?
I have been tried xsetup.sh , but failed to startx.
