Hi, I have used a few Linux before but wanted to revive an old P2-233 with DSL. I have successfully installed 3.1 rc2 on the 4 gig drive with a frugall install and grub. It boots up fine but I need to enter my vesa, language, keyboard and other options every time I start up. Is there a way of saving these options to the hard drive along with other options like background colour, mouse clicks 1/2 and all the other things I have changed to make them permanent.
I have found the .filetool.lst and menu.lst files and also my tmp/ directory but not sure what to do with them. Is there a DSLnewbie guide to frugal HD install somewhere that I can read?
Thanks in advance for your help.
