Hi, im a newb to DSL, so i'm sorry if this question has been answered somewhere else, but i can't find it.

Which partions do i create in cfdisk, i.e. is it just the one (dev/hda1) and does that to take up all the space on the hardrive, or do i do a swap partition, and a boot partition? If so what sizes do they all have to be? Does it matter which order the are, e.t.c.

Thanks for your time

There should be no need for a boot partition. It is a good idea to have a swap partition, how big depends on how much memory you have and how large your disk is, 32 MB may be a good starting point.

Thanks,
yeah in the end i only made a root and the swap, however by the sounds of it i made it a bit large (400 megs) on a 2GB  harddisk, with 192 MB RAM.
But it doesn't matter now i have a working install and I have to say its wicked so far !  :D
