dont go lilo, you have grub.

how did you partition your hardisk?
what partitions are your OS on
what is the content of /boot/grub/menu.lst?

i think you should have an entry like this:

Code Sample
title dsl
root (hd0,5)
kernel /boot/linux24 root=/dev/hda6 ro hda=scsi hdb=scsi hdc=scsi hdd=scsi hde=scsi hdf=scsi hdg=scsi hdh=scsi apm=power-off nomce noapic

or
Code Sample
title dsl
root (hd0,5)
kernel (hd0,5)/boot/linux24 root=/dev/hda6 ro hda=scsi hdb=scsi hdc=scsi hdd=scsi hde=scsi hdf=scsi hdg=scsi hdh=scsi apm=power-off nomce noapic

Hi everyone,
I have a question about multiple booting that fits with this title.  I use lilo, and have XP on an internal laptop hard drive, and an external USB hard drive with SUSE on it.

I'm wondering if you can explain how I would set in lilo the option to boot from either the DSL .84 iso file, or the expanded files, if I were to copy them to a folder called /dsl on my ext3 partition on the USB drive?

Thanks for any tips,
saskboy
