Hi, during startup I get: "You passed an undefined modenumber press <return> to see video modes available"
These video modes, what does it mean? Ex: "mode1 0F01 80x50"?
It cannot be the resolution, so what is it? I need 640x480, 16 colors, what option would that be? Thanks in advance!

Just as a little add on note to this for anyone with the same problem, newer Dell pcs often suffer from this prob with any linux distros

Often as is mentioned you can use "0" to cure the problem but I have found that passing this command "vga=normal" at the dsl boot prompt will provide you with a drop down menu of available screen resolutions to choose from.

Hope this helps someone
