Hey everybody,

Well, here's my problem this time. I ran DSL through the CD-ROM drive and it worked pretty well. So, I decided it would be best for my computer to install it on the hard drive. So I chose the "Install to Hard Drive" Option and did a standard install. It completed succesfully, but I don't know where to go from here (If I would want to boot without the CD)

Just turn the computer on normally, without the CD in the drive. It will automatically boot into DSL, provided you don't have any other OSes in there.

I just did a hdinstall and made a mistake others may want to avoid ! When the installer asked : run mkliloboot I made the mistake of pressing a capitol letter Y the rest of the program exited and I tried to run mkliloboot manually . It ran asking which drive to install to , I typed in hda1 the primary bootable partition ,the program ran but didnt update the boot files My fault entirly , when I rebooted I got the please install system disk to boot the computer .I just put the cd back in and ran the install again this time paying more attention to what I was typing and the program worked like magic .What a nice feeling it is to use your box without a load of krap floating around on your drives Thanks DSL
